Special Admission to Master’s Program

for foreign students who have graduated (or are expected to graduate by March 31, 2017) from a foreign university.

The applicant must submit all the application documents to the Department Office by Jan 10th and a copy of TOEFL Test Taker (Examinee) Score Report by Jan 24th.

Notification of Results

2. Application Documents

  • TOEFL Score (Please submit both the Official Score Report and a Copy of your Test Taker (Examinee) Score Report)


Deadline of Acceptance of "Copy of Test Taker (Examinee) Score Report" and "Official Score Report":
January 24 (Tue), 2017. In some cases, it may take many days from the time you request the ETS to forward the Official Score Report until it arrives at the Graduate School of Engineering, so it is recommended that you make the request to the ETS at least six weeks before the application deadline. <PDF> (For more information, please click here.)

3. Subjects of Entrance Examination

(1) Written Examination: Description examination on basic chemistry and biotechnology.

Examination Date: January 25 (Wed)
Examination Time: 11:00-12:00
Location: School of Engineering Building 5, 1st Floor, Room 55
Please ensure that you arrive at the room 10 minutes before the start of your scheduled examination time. The examination room will be informed when the examination slip is sent. Please bring your stationery and the examination slip.

(2) Oral Examination for 20 minutes: General questions concerning chemistry and biotechnology including your research for bachelor’s thesis.

Examination Date: January 25 (Wed)
Examination Time: 20 minutes within 13:30-15:20
Location: School of Engineering Building 5, 3rd Floor, Room 345
Please ensure that you wait at the entrance of the room 345 at 3rd floor 10 minutes before the scheduled examination time.



Special Admission to Doctoral Program

for foreign students who have received (or are expected to receive by March 31, 2017) a master’s or professional degree from a foreign university.

(2) Oral Examination for 40 minutes: Presentation and discussion on your research for master’s thesis.

Examination Time: 40 minutes (20 minutes presentation and 20 minutes discussion) within 13:30-15:20
Location: School of Engineering Building 5, 3rd Floor, Room 345
Please ensure that you wait at the entrance of the room 345 at 3rd floor 10 minutes before the scheduled examination time. Please bring your laptop computer.
